Mumbai, India: Television actor Arjun Bijlani has confirmed that he is safe after a minor car accident while returning from promotional activities for his upcoming Netflix series Chumbak Colony.
Bijlani had attended the Indian Game Show as part of the promotional campaign for the series. According to a statement from his team, the accident occurred while he was returning from the event. Everyone travelling with him was reported to be safe, with no major injuries.
The incident briefly raised concern among fans after news of the accident began circulating on Friday. Bijlani later addressed the situation himself, reassuring people that he was fine.
In a video shared on social media, the actor described it as a âvery minor accidentâ and said that his car had suffered damage and would need repairs. He also thanked friends, family and fans who had contacted him after hearing about the incident.
The accident comes just days before Chumbak Colony is scheduled to premiere on Netflix. The series is set in a fictional neighbourhood where five families live alongside one another, with everyday disagreements and relationships forming the centre of the story.
The project features an ensemble cast including Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Helly Shah and Manasi Parekh, alongside Bijlani. It is scheduled to begin streaming on August 28.
There have been no reports of serious injuries connected with the accident, and Bijlani has continued with his professional commitments.
For now, the incident appears to have ended without major harm. The actor’s own update has also put to rest concerns that had emerged after the accident was reported.
With Chumbak Colony approaching its release, Bijlani is expected to continue the promotional schedule for the series after the brief disruption.
