Danapur–Bengaluru Express to Run Daily From September 1

Bengaluru: Travellers between Bihar and Bengaluru will have a more regular rail option from September 1, with the Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Express set to operate as a daily Superfast Express.

The service is not an entirely new rail route. The existing Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Special train, which has been operating under train numbers 03251/03252, is being regularised and will now run as regular Express services 22365/22366.

Train No. 22365 will operate from Danapur to Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru, while Train No. 22366 will run in the return direction. The regular service from Danapur will begin on September 1, while the return service from SMVT Bengaluru will start on September 3.

The move is expected to make the long-distance service more predictable for passengers travelling between Bihar and Bengaluru and for those boarding at several major stations along the route.

Danapur to Bengaluru: Key timings

Train No. 22365 will leave Danapur at 2:45 pm every day. It will reach SMVT Bengaluru at 2:30 pm on the third day of the journey.

The train will halt at several important stations on the way, including Ara, Buxar, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Prayagraj Chheoki, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi and Nagpur.

From there, it will continue through Sevagram, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Warangal and Vijayawada before entering the southern part of the route.

Further stops include Ongole, Gudur, Perambur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet and Whitefield before the train reaches SMVT Bengaluru.

For passengers travelling long distances, the regular daily operation means a more consistent option between Bihar and Bengaluru, while also providing direct connectivity to several cities and railway junctions along the route.

The return service, Train No. 22366, will begin its regular daily run from SMVT Bengaluru on September 3.

It is scheduled to leave SMVT Bengaluru at 11:50 pm and reach Danapur at 12:15 am on the fourth day.

In the return direction, the train will cover the same broad corridor, with major stops including Whitefield, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Ongole, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Sevagram, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara.

A 24-coach Superfast Express

The regular service will run with 24 coaches. The composition includes two LSLRD coaches, seven General Second Class coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, three AC 3-Tier coaches and two AC 2-Tier coaches.

The regularisation of the special service is particularly relevant for passengers who frequently travel between Bihar and Bengaluru. The daily operation will also provide a regular rail option for passengers boarding at major stations across the route.

Passengers planning to travel on the service should check the latest railway timetable and ticket availability before their journey, as operational timings and arrangements may change.
